Upcoming Releases!
And announce her scribe's upcoming releases.
When Mules Rush In features Merlin. You may remember him from King Arthur's days? Well, now he's a matchmaking mule in 1871 Wyoming. His story will be included in the Once in a Blue Moon anthology to be released in May, 2006.
Then, in August, Highland Press will release my scribe's solo anthology, Faery Good Tales. This is especially good news because finally I've been given the headliner status that a star like me deserves. Ten stories of romance, faeries, and of course, moi. I'm the human equivalent of four years old in the first story so my wing etiquette isn't quite up to par yet.
Meantime, please order your Faery Good Advice T-shirts. With a little luck, you might be able to get a Merlin shirt pretty soon, too. Not that his would be as good as mine, you understand, but mine might be a bit too elegant to wear at, say, a rodeo, where they have dirt and worse . . . Let Merlin have those venues. I'll keep to the booksignings and banquets.

Tell Yana not to worry. I have a surprise for her that I think she will like. She can't see it until August, however.
BTW, at this very moment, DeborahAnne MacGillivray is making the bookcover for the anthology, Faery Good Tales in which I star (finally!). Now I just need to make my scribe finish the stories!
TTFN,
Keely
Keely, you are the smartest faery ever. could you answer some questions for me?
why is the sky blue?
Why do birds sing?
Why is the grass green?
Why is the sun hot?
Why is the moon cold?
What color are the stars?
Yana 3rd grade.

Keely,
I love you keely.
You are pretty.
Why, do the stars shine?
Keely, how old are you?
Why do wolves howl?
Why do cats meow?
Moriah kindergarden
Dear Faery Smart 3rd Grader Yana,
The sky is blue because that is my favorite color.
Birds sing to make faery babies and Faery Smart 3rd Graders happy. And it works, too. Don't you feel happier when the birds are singing?
The grass is green because the Green Clan nourishes the forest and the grasslands. They think green is the best color for the job. Besides, if grass were blue, you couldn't tell the difference between grass and sky!
The sun is hot warm your tootsies.
The moon is actually very hot on one side and cold on the other. She's a fickle thing. I bet you know people who run hot and cold--you never know whether they're mad or sad. Frustrating, isn't it?
The stars were put in the sky so Faery Smart Third Graders could make them any shape and any color you want them to be. And make a wish. Wishes doing always come true, but they NEVER come true if you don't make any!
TTFN,
Keely
Dear Faery Smart Moriah Kindergarten,
I love you, too! I was watching you and your sister at the booksigning. You were very well behaved.
You and your sister are so beautiful, I thought you were faeries!
The stars shine so they can reflect in my favorite children's eyes. And do you know who my favorite children are? Faery Smart Moriah Kindergarten and her sister, Faery Smart Third Grader Yana.
I'm 854 years old--marriageable age in the Faery World. We Fae People live to be several thousand years old. Humans sometimes think we're immortal, but we're not, just very long lived.
Why do wolves howl? Because that's how they talk to the faeries. The Brown Clan talks to the wolves most of the time.
Why do cats meow? Sometimes because they're hungry, sometimes because they want to be alone and take a nap, sometimes because they want to be petted, and sometimes to talk to the faeries.
Faeries can communicate with the animals, you know. We communicate with rocks and mountains and kindergartners, too.
TTFN,
Keely
